Payments straight from your bank account
Debit cards also allow you to make payments without using cash and withdraw cash from ATMs. But unlike with credit cards, the payment is taken directly from the card holder's bank account. In Switzerland, commonly used types of debit cards are Maestro card and the PostFinance card.
